Kelly Ann Roudebush

Kelly Ann Roudebush, age 50 of Bath passed away peacefully Thursday, February 10, 2022, at her home following a valiant battle with breast cancer. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 18, 2022 at St. Mary Cathedral, 219 Seymour Ave., Lansing, MI 48933. Visitation will take place beginning at 9:00 AM at the Cathedral until the time of the Mass.
Kelly Ann was born April 12, 1971, in Garden City, Michigan to Daniel Patrick and Kathleen (Tudor) O'Brien. Kelly Ann graduated from Holly High School, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University and her Master of Public Administration degree from Western University. Kelly went on to serve her community by joining the MSU Police and Public Safety office in 1994. She became the first female chief of police for Michigan State University (January 2019 – July 2020); retiring after more than 26 years with the department. Kelly loved being outdoors, traveling, and hiking. She enjoyed spending time in Key West, Florida where she married Jerry Roudebush on May 5, 2009.
Kelly is survived by her loving husband, Jerry of 13 years; her son, Brendan Beck; her father, Daniel O'Brien; her brother, Casey (Rachel) O'Brien; her two nieces and two nephews, and the many friends she made throughout the years and numerous colleagues she mentored. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen O'Brien.
