June 23, 1940 – June 19, 2025
Kenneth Reece Honea,84, of Westminster, SC, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025 at Seneca Health and Rehab, surrounded by his family. Born June 23, 1940 he was the son of the late Arthur Bill and Eleanor Craig Honea.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step daughter Shirley Smith. Kenneth was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and was a self-employed plumber and electrician. Kenneth was a devoted husband, beloved step father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife Julie Faye Owens Honea, Kenneth is survived by his step son's; Roger J. and Tony W. Gilliam of Westminster, SC, as well as grandchildren Michael Gilliam, Nick Gilliam, Tiffany Gilliam, Travis Gilliam, Sera and Austin Smith. Kenneth is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In keeping with Kenneth's wishes, the family will receive friends on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the home of Faye Honea, 312 Fire Tower Road Seneca, SC 29678. A celebration of life will be held at a later date with inurnment in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is at 312 Fire Tower Road Seneca, SC 29678. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made for mission outreach to New Life Praise and Worship Center, P.O. Box 633Westminster, Sc 29693. Condolences may be expressed online by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com.
