Kenneth Wayne Maxwell was born to Leo Gale and Ona Ophelia (Beaird) Maxwell on January 30, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Wayne graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1956 and then immediately joined the United States Marine Corps. In 1961, he joined the Midwest City Police Department where he retired as a Captain in 1981. After retiring from the police department, he became the Director of Security for Midwest City Regional Hospital and remained there for 15 years. Wayne peacefully passed away on July 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Ona Maxwell, his daughter Deborah (Maxwell) Campbell, his son Otis Maxwell, and his brothers Leo Glenn Maxwell and Bill Allen Maxwell. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Ohnna, his son Craig Maxwell; his stepchildren Bruce Jordan and wife Patty, RuthAnne Griffin and husband Bruce, Tim Jordan and wife Brandi; his grandchildren Melanie Krause and husband Kevin, Travis Campbell, Crista Blue and husband Bryan, Jordan Parsons and husband Kyle, Brittnee Mitchell and Chris, Robert Jordan and wife Samantha, Matthew Jordan, and Brandy Rose; and his great-grandchildren Maci, Makenna, Mya, Wake, Peri, Hudson, Anderson, Hayden, Dalton, Raylen, Elena, Wyatt, and Briar. Wayne was a playful and hardworking man who will be missed by many.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 10am at Choctaw Road Baptist Church in Choctaw, Oklahoma.
