Vesta Kay Hall, born on January 16, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, went to live in her eternal home on Monday, September 1, 2025.
Beloved daughter of Vestal and Veneta Creech, Vesta was raised in South Oklahoma City and graduated from Capitol Hill High School with the class of 1970.
She pursued her life's calling at OSU-OKC and graduated with a B.A. in nursing in 1980. She began her life's work by helping to create one of the first AIDS clinics in Oklahoma City that led to a career spanning 5 decades of patient care and activism. Nursing wasn't just a job for Vesta; it was a way of life.
Vesta is survived by her two daughters, Susan Gates of St. Louis and Kristine Morris (Tyson) of Edmond, OK; grandchild, Alex Morris of Edmond, OK; sisters, Pat Anderson of Keller, Texas and Pam Joiner (Fred) of Choctaw, OK. Vesta was also an auntie to 6 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews whom she cherished with all her heart. She had many friends and coworkers whom she loved dearly.
A compassionate animal lover whose home was always open to any creature in need, Vesta loved all her fur babies. She found immense joy in spoiling them and giving them the best life possible. We will miss her love and generosity forever.
"There is no goodbye in Tomorrowland, only I'll see you down the road."
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service Chapel in Bethany, OK on September 12, 2025 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Vesta's memory to the Oklahoma City Humane Society.
