Kevin James Fisher, 24 years old, passed away on August 28, 2021, in his home in Austin, TX. Kevin was born on March 10, 1997, to Narda and Keith Fisher. He was raised in Austin and attended Austin public schools graduating from Anderson High School in 2015.

After high school, Kevin went to the University of Texas - Austin and earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He graduated in 2019. He worked as an engineer for MEP Engineering in Austin until the time of his death. He earned his Field Engineer certificate, and from all accounts, he did this with ease.

To know Kevin was to love him. He had an engaging smile and a laugh that made you confident that he gave you his full attention. Kevin loved when he got together with his cousins, and game time was just super annoying for everyone because Kevin always won. "High Energy" could have been his middle name because he rarely sat still, but he always paid attention.

Kevin's passion was athletics and sports. He balanced his life with work, family, friends, and staying active. He had a knack for picking up on things quickly and seamlessly. His basketball prowess was uncanny. He could be told a play by his coach during a timeout huddle and execute the new play after the timeout without skipping a beat. Kevin played at Anderson High School and frequently spoke of the game-winner he hit against Austin High as the happiest moment in his life. He also played select basketball for the Austin Wildcats and ATX Future, where he made life-long friends. Kevin adored his coaches, and he cherished his friends. There is no doubt that Kevin lived life to the fullest.

Some of Kevin's favorite activities were boating, swimming and anything involving water - after all he was a Pisces. He loved attending UT football games, hanging with his Sig Ep brothers, attending ACL concerts and he never met a plate of chicken wings he didn't like. Most recently he found "the one" and treasured the time they spent together immensely.

Kevin knew that family is where life begins and love never ends. Kevin made sure his parents knew how much he loved his friends, and in his way, he made sure that his parents knew how much he loved them. He hugged them every day and told them he loved them - something he never outgrew and his Mom and Dad could not get enough of. His sister "Lil' Fish" was someone Kevin had the utmost respect for and was very proud of her. He did not let that fact go unknown.

Kevin is survived by his parents Keith and Narda Fisher (Austin, Texas), and his adoring sister Kristina Fisher (Gainesville, Florida). He is also survived by his grandparents Suzanne and Jerry Fisher (Danville, VA) and James White (West Palm Beach, FL), as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins that loved him dearly.

On September 11, 2021, a viewing will be held to celebrate Kevin's life at 2:00 p.m. at Harrell Funeral Home of Austin, located at 4435 Frontier Trail. We ask those attending to please wear a mask.

Kevin loved music, and he loved his pets. So in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Austin Humane Society (www.austinhumanesociety.org), Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (www.myhaam.org), or another organization that you know would make Kevin smile.

Please share photos and memories on Kevin's Tribute wall or email them to the family at [email protected].
