Kimberly S. Peters, age 65, of Harborcreek, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, following a short battle with cancer. She was born in Erie on September 10, 1958, daughter of the late Paul and Beverly Schell Bish.
Kim was a 1976 graduate of Seneca High School. She was an active member of South Harborcreek United Methodist Church, where she served as a trustee. She cherished her church family. Kim was a life-long animal lover, starting with her childhood horses. Over the years, she grew to love training her dog with AKC agility courses.
Kim was passionate about spending time with her family and friends and put in countless hours to make sure her planning, decorating, and baking would provide special memories for every event. She will be remembered for her laugh and her ability to make special memories for those around her.
Kim had many fond memories of her time at Six Mile Creek riding horses with her grandfather, Wayne Schell. She continued making memories there later with her dogs and grandchildren. She loved baking, gardening, camping, sewing, and being outdoors whenever the opportunity allowed. Kim was generous with her time and was always willing to lend a hand and would seek out ways to help her friends and family, even if it was just bringing her infamous cookie tray.
Kim is survived by her husband of 47 years, Richard "Dick" Peters; two children: Lea Resinger (Andy) and Seth Peters (Brienne); three beautiful granddaughters whom she adored: Kendall, Lauren, and Morgan; two sisters: Kathy Nakoski (Pete) and Karrie Piotrowski (Tom); her mother-in-law, Carole Peters; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who loved her and will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Kelly.
Friends may call at the South Harborcreek United Methodist Church, 7929 McGill Road, on Tuesday, August 20th, from 1 to 3 PM and from 4 PM until the time of the service at 6 PM to be conducted by Rev. Tim Hoover. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dusckas Funeral & Cremation Services Harborcreek. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

We have so many great memories with Dick and Kim. One of my favorites was her telling us about the two Dick's sunning on a blanket together. She knew how to make you laugh and she will be missed.
