Lawrence R. Kuczek, age 83, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at his home in New Lenox.
He is survived of his beloved wife of 60 years, Connie (nee Buonaiuto) Kuczek; children, Kenneth (Cathy) Kuczek, and Nancy (John) Kukulka; and his grandchildren, Katie, Megan, Zach, and Maddie.
Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Florence Kuczek.
Lawrence was an incredibly wonderful man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He poured his love out always and never expected anything in return. His passions in life were painting and restoring cars and he had a soft spot for Buicks, especially ‘41’s, ‘53’s, and ‘63’s. In his spare time, he liked to be in his garden, growing vegetables and flowers, which brought him much joy. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Services for Lawrence will begin on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Franics Rd, in New Lenox from 4pm-8pm. Services will continue the following day, Friday, March 22, 2024 with a brief visitation from 9:30am-10:30am. A Mass will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 E. 2nd St, in New Lenox at 11am. Lawrence will be laid to rest at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery in Orland Park.
