Our beautiful, faithful, loving, amazing, selfless Mother went to her heavenly Home after a battle with glioblastoma.
Leanne Marian (Timm) Schneider was born September 23, 1942 in Manitowoc, WI. She was the oldest daughter of parents Harold and Mildred (Korte) Timm.
Mom attended elementary school and was confirmed at First German Lutheran in Manitowoc. She attended high school at Manitowoc Lutheran and had the honor of being in the first graduating class in 1960. It was in high school that she met the love of her life and eventual life partner, Lyle Schneider. Dad was a star on the basketball team and Mom, a cheerleader. Mom and Dad furthered their education by attending Doctor Martin Luther College in MN.
On July 31, 1965 they married and settled in Neenah to start teaching careers. Mom taught at Grace Lutheran School, Martin Luther School and joined Dad at Trinity Lutheran School as a beloved Kindergarten teacher until her retirement. She was an active member at Trinity Lutheran Church participating in choir, Christian Women's Circle and Bible study.
Mom and Dad raised 4 children: Kim, Brett, Kari and Cory "The Schneider Clan". Mom filled our home with love always. Her true love was becoming a Grandma, and most recently a Great Grandma. Mom loved her 9 grandchildren (8 girls, 1 boy) and her 2 great grandsons unconditionally. To her very end her face and eyes lit up when the grands came to visit, she enjoyed hearing about their lives and sharing in the laughter. She adored the babies sitting on her lap and showering them with hugs and kisses. Nothing gave her more joy than the kids. She and Dad traveled the country following all the numerous sports, from grade school, high school, college, club teams as well as choir concerts and every school sponsored event. Mom was the biggest fan. Her love and the title of Grandma extended beyond her own family to many others, she holds a special place in the hearts of so many lucky enough to know her.
Mom cherished the summers at Mapleview Resort in Conover with family and dear friends. She loved her time at the lake fishing, reading, playing cards, hosting fish frys and campfires for the entire Mapleview community in "Schneiderville". She loved an afternoon Dreamcicle with Dad at the Lodge.
A special part of each day was connecting with her sister, Joanne, from Montana at 9:30am, and most recently a visit. This time spent together made Mom so happy.
Mom will be remembered for her infectious smile and loving personality that everyone gravitated toward, but mostly, her strong Christian faith that gives us peace knowing she is with her Saviour.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Lyle Schneider.
Daughter - Kim Zehren: husband Jeff, Children Taylor Atwood (Tamrick, Tyce, Towns) Bree Zehren (fiancé Trey Davis)

Everyone thought she was the greatest teacher. When she got engaged our class threw her a wedding shower. She was always my favorite teacher, always smiling and so sweet. I treasure those times to this day
