Lena Marie (Boyer) Bollinger, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the age of 61. She was born on August 4, 1964, to the late Joseph and Mary (DeClue) Boyer.
Lena’s life was filled with the joy of simple pleasures. She loved restoring old furniture and giving it new life, searching for treasures at antique shops, yard sales, and flea markets, always searching for a good deal. Some of her most cherished times were spent driving down country roads with her husband, Kenny, by her side. Her warm spirit, creativity, and love for her family will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Lena is survived by her devoted husband, Kenneth “Kenny” Bollinger; her children, James Courtois (Fiancé, Sandy Goad), Sean (Amanda) Courtois, and Alex Courtois; and her step-children, Crystal (Angela) Bollinger, Kaylee Bollinger, Brandon Bollinger, and Bradley Bollinger. She was the proud grandmother to her three grandsons: Colton, Owen, and Lincoln Courtois.
She also leaves behind her siblings, Sheila Gaylord, Gerald “Jerry” Boyer, and Vanessa Wiles; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gary and Norma Faye Henson; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Dale (Becky) Bollinger, Gale (Lisa Sanderson) Bollinger, Carl (Sandra) Bollinger, Nathaniel Bollinger Sr., and Gary (Stacey) Henson. In addition, she will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Boyer, Brenda Boyer, Leon Boyer, Dennis Boyer, and Rita Warden; and her father-in-law, Phillip Bollinger.
Visitation will be held at DeClue Funeral Home in Potosi, Missouri, on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 4:30 pm until the time of her Funeral Service at 7:00 pm with Pastor Matt Woods officiating.
Lena’s life was a testament to finding beauty in everyday moments and joy in the company of those she loved most. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
