In Loving Memory of Lorna "Meme" Keahey
Lorna Ellen Keahey was born on July 7, 1961 to the late Jackie and Julia King. She was the youngest of five siblings and the only girl.
Moving around most of her life and being a "Navy brat", Lorna finally settled down in Memphis with her family. She graduated from Frayser High School and would soon meet the love of her life, Ronnie Keahey. They married in the fall of 1985 and moved to Tipton County in 1990. Through their 39 years of marriage, they faced many hardships but somehow they always survived. They found happiness in raising their three daughters, Rivers, Julia and Samantha.
Lorna was a proud stay at home mother and wife. She enjoyed landscaping and took such pride in her yard. She also loved to fish and any excuse to be in the sunshine. More than anything, Lorna loved being a "Meme" and spending any time she could with all of her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 39 years, Ronnie Keahey; three daughters and their husbands, Rivers (David) Partin, Julia (Robert) Parkey and Samantha (Jeff) Nix; 13 grandchildren, two brothers and numerous friends and family members who will truly miss her tenacious smile and humor. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. She rejoiced when she was finally in her daddy's arms once more.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
