Lowell Stanley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory on May 30, 2023.
Lowell E. Stanley, 87, of Fishers Indiana, died April 4th, 2023, in Estero Florida.
He was born on December 17th, 1935 to Charles E. and Florence J. Baldwin Stanley, in Anderson Indiana.
Lowell graduated from Anderson High School and then he married Ora May Bassett Stanley on January 29th, 1955 and they had two children, Brad and Wesley.
He began his automobile career at age 14, standing on a bucket washing cars for Bus McCarroll Auto Sales at the corner of 14th and Jackson Streets in Anderson Indiana in 1949. At the age of 15, he bought his first old used Ford. He sold it weeks later to a neighborhood friend and that was the start of his long illustrious career as an automobile dealer. He always credited Bus McCarroll for much of his teachings. He later went on to own several used car lots with both of his sons joining him over the years. His biggest and greatest dream was to be a new car dealer which he achieved along with his sons in May of 1987. Over the years he was well-known as an honest, fair, and reputable automobile dealer. His awards from Chevrolet were some of his most cherished. His charitable contributions to many organizations were also a bright spot for him.
None of his accomplishments over the years could have been completed without the love and support of his wife of 68 years, Ora May.
Lowell is survived by his loving wife Ora May, Son Brad wife Cindy, Son Wesley wife Andrea Grandchildren Kyle, Chase, Isabella, Ava, and Carson Stanley. Great Grandchildren Summer and Autumn Stanley. Several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loyal and loving dog, Lucky.
He was preceded in death by his Parents Charles and Florence, siblings Deloris spouse (Hank) Sells, and Donna spouse (Frank) Dwiggins.
A Celebration of Life will occur June 4th with visitation from 1 PM until 4 PM with memorial service at 4 PM at Robert Loose Funeral Home and Crematory, Community Room in Anderson Indiana. Reverend Norman Chaudion officiating.
