Madelyn M. McLean, age 97, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Madelyn was born on July 6, 1925, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to the late George and Anna (Camps) Fahrner. She graduated from Lincoln High School. Madelyn worked as a secretary for the Phillips School District. She met and married the love of her life, Thomas McLean, in 1942.
She was a member of Nekoosa United Church of Christ, where she enjoyed signing in the choir, playing the organ and being a part of their women groups.
In Madelyn's free time she enjoyed watching the Badgers, Packers, ice skating and old movies. She also loved crocheting, knitting and cats.
Madelyn is survived by her children, Tom (Karen) McLean, Pat (Patti) McLean, Sue McLean; grandchildren, Shon McLean, Kelly (Charron) McLean, Joel McLean, Leah McLean; great-grandchildren, Christopher McLean, Haylee McCumber, Mylee McLean and many extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas McLean; brother, Neil Fahrner; sister, Verna (Joe) Liska; nephew, Jerry Fahner.
