Maisie Kennedy Adamson, 93, daughter of Moorhead and Anna Kennedy, died peacefully at the Bryn Mawr Hospital on September 17, 2025. She is survived by her two sons Richard C. Storey III (Lily) and Peter K Storey (Merin), step-daughter Sabina A. Wood and other family members. Grandchildren include grandsons Richard (Alexis), David (Pinwen), Timothy, and Alexander Storey as well as granddaughter Lydia Storey and three great granddaughters. Step-grandsons include Harrison W. Wood III and Alexander S. A. Wood. Maisie was born in 1932 and spent her early years in New York City. During World War 2 the family moved to Philadelphia where her father was a senior officer at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. While there she attended the Shipley school. After the war she returned to New York, graduating from the Brearley School in 1950. She then attended Bryn Mawr college from 1950 to 1952. She married Richard Storey, Jr. in 1952, making her home initially in Cambridge Mass and then in Sewickley Pa. In 1958, they moved to Lake Forest Ill. and then into the city of Chicago in 1961. The family returned to the Philadelphia area in 1972. After Mr. Storey's death in 1974, she married Talbot Adamson in 1983. They lived for many years in Devon, finally settling in the Waverly Heights retirement community in 2004. Maisie had a long and distinguished career in banking and finance, first with the Continental Bank in Chicago and later with the Girard (later Mellon) Bank in Philadelphia. At Girard/Mellon she rose from administrative assistant to Loan Officer to Branch Manager for Mellon's Wayne Branch. She retired in 1993 as a Vice President and senior officer in the private banking department. In retirement, Maisie was active in resident affairs at Waverly as well as alumnae affairs on behalf of Brearley and Bryn Mawr She was a long-time summer resident of Mount Desert Island. From the time she was little girl she spent summers on the island first in her grandmother's house in Bar Harbor and then in Northeast Harbor. She was an active sailor and climber, and she loved the island. She was an avid gardener, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a blessing to all who knew her.
