You went to your eternal home and garden on Saturday April 12, 2025. You went on your terms; at home, peacefully in your sleep; with a house full of family and your dogs, which we knew were your favorite children; especially Tyler. You said you wanted the girls to come and lead you to heaven so you could once again hug grandma. We hope your wish came true. Mom, you told us not to be sad. We are trying. It is really hard. We are going through the millions of pictures, drawings, and certificates of scholastic achievements you saved and realized how much you truly loved us.
You were born to Martin Rivas and Felicita Sepulveda in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. The oldest of five; Mely (Sister)- Your best friend and confidant, Miguel, Minito, Martin- Your brothers. You married our dad, Juan Sanchez at 18, and soon after became a mom to seven children who adore you; Carmen (Daniel), Jose, Luis (Margie), Miguel (Cathy), Sandra, Carlos, and Cesar (Erica). You were an amazing grandma to 21 grandchildren; Michael, Cindy, Brenden, Kimberly, Joseph M, Mark, Carlos, Joseph, Zachariah, Carys, Nathan, Jacob, Alex, Andrew, Johnathon, Katelyn, Micah, Lilah, Thalia, Emmalyn, Jason and 10 great grandchildren; Abbott, Elizabeth, Amara, Elisha, Jessamy, Azucena, Julian, Luna, Marcie, and Louisa. Many nieces and nephews you loved and cherished. You loved gardening, music, shopping and novelas. Your favorite color was any shade of purple. You wanted lots of flowers- we got you mom. You will forever be missed and loved. We rejoice knowing you are in heaven watching over us with your chancla ready to strike when we stray. Thank you for being a stern, strong, but loving mom.
Flowers to be received on Wednesday 2-4 p.m. shades of purple preferred.
We would also like to express many thanks to all the staff at Hospice of San Angelo for their loving assistance. Special thanks to her regular team; Laura, Rusty and Maria. We could not have done it without you.
