Marie F. Troiano (nee Alessi) of New Providence, NJ passed away peacefully at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, NJ on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at the age of 90.
The visitation will be held at Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, 646 Springfield Ave., Berkeley Hts., NJ on Thursday, Jan. 5th, from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM. The funeral service will begin in the funeral home at 12:30 PM followed by the entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.
Marie was born and raised in Newark, NJ, the daughter of Anna (nee Crupi) and Robert Alessi, and moved to New Providence, NJ where she has resided since 1959.
Marie was employed as a cafeteria worker at Bell Labs. in Murray Hill, NJ for 27 years before retiring in 2011.
Marie is lovingly remembered as a gracious woman who was passionate about her family, cleaning and keeping things in order. She was pre-deceased in 2014 by her beloved husband Anthony J. Troiano and in 2022 by her cherished son Anthony G. Troiano. Marie was also pre-deceased by her sisters, Lillian Alessi Cicalese and her husband Dr. Gerard Cicalese, Sr. and Lorraine Alessi Cantelmo. She is the loving sister-in-law of Antoinette and George Triano and the late Virginia and Nick Troiano, Julia and Joe Ammiano, and Joe Troiano; cherished aunt of Gerard and Alyssa Cicalese, Donna Getta, Elaine and Sal Nemezio, Diane and Nick Bergamotto, Karen and John Hadesty, George and Daniel Triano, and the late Joe and Ann Troiano. She is also survived by many loving great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
