Margie was born in Jackson, Mississippi on September 19, 1925. She graduated from Our Lady of the Lake College in San Antonio with a degree in nutrition, and moved to Baytown, Texas after WWII to work in a Humble Oil Lab. There she met her future husband, Percy Lloyd Lafosse; they married in 1949 and were together until Percy's death in 1998.
She was an active member with St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Baytown and enjoyed volunteering her time in support of the community. She loved hosting her weekly margarita group, playing bridge with longtime friends, and traveling with her family.
Margie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Arlene Lafosse; daughter and son-in-law, Gail Lafosse and Scott Silverman; grandchildren, Leigh Lafosse, Charlie Silverman, Matt Lafosse, Cara Silverman, and Michael Silverman, and great-grandchildren Nathan Lafosse, Zayden Martinez, and Moses Silverman.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
