Marlene L. Hinz, 85, of Van Dyne, died Monday, August 18, 2025, with family by her side, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2024.

Marlene raised her four children while also helping David on the farm. She liked her polka music and loved to shop, especially during the Christmas season. Marlene enjoyed cooking, baking, playing sheepshead, watching the Brewers, and loved being with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her four children, Beth (Jeff) Waller, Julie (Barry) White, Jeff (Laura) Hinz, and Mark Hinz; grandchildren, Katie (Dustin) Holzhauer, Brittany (Matt) Zoch, Jacob Waller, Melissa (Dustin) Tilleman, Megan (Max) Dukelow, and Jamie (Joe) McCuen; great grandchildren, Louis and Brooks Holzhauer, Tessa, Finnegan, and Theo Zoch, Lily and Liam Tilleman, Dawson and Payton Dukelow, Aiden and Chase McCuen; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Nevins Zoch; two sisters, and six brothers.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Friday, August 29, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Nekimi. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

“At evening when I go to rest, fourteen angels I request. Two to guard above my head, two to watch below my bed, two to be at my right side, at my left two more abide. Two to low me into sleep, two to wake me from the deep, two to lead me on the way, where angels always sing and pray.” – anonymous
