Marvin Troy Stroud, a resident of Wynnewood, Oklahoma was born on February 22, 1948 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma to Ross "Slim" Alfred Stroud and Imogene Beatrice (Thompson) Blair. Marvin passed away on June 28, 2025 in Kingston, Oklahoma at a very dear family friend's home. Marvin married Shirley Janette Stroud on August 8, 1988 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He retired from Kingfisher County District 3 as a diesel equipment mechanic. Marvin was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. He drove the ministry bus, helped on the funeral committee, and also helped with the Christmas lights on the Boulevard. He was a good friend to all and had a contagious laugh. He will be greatly missed by many.
Marvin was preceded in death by his wife Shirley; Parents, Ross Stroud and Imogene Blair; Brothers, Chester Eugene Stroud, Gerald Ross Stroud, George Elmer Stroud, and Alfred Ray Stroud; Sisters, Margie Lucille Burpo, Ann Louise, and Beatrice Loretta Gaither.
Marvin is survived by his sister, Margaret Nadine Murphy; Stepsons, Adrian Hey of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Dale Stover and wife Patricia of Kingston, Oklahoma; Grandson, Dax Stover; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and may other family members and church friends.
