MaryAnn Evans of Evansville, Indiana died peacefully on February 23rd surrounded by her loving family. MaryAnn was born April 30, 1930 to the late Art and Rose M. (Winiger) Wolf.
MaryAnn attended St. Anthony Catholic School, then Memorial High School where she met the love of her life, Jerry Evans. The two graduated from Memorial High in 1948. MaryAnn and Jerry were married April 24, 1954. MaryAnn raised her family with Jerry and later spent a career working at Arkla Industries and ROBUR Corporation.
MaryAnn was a talented seamstress, loved to garden and decorate her home. She was an avid reader. MaryAnn had many lifelong friends and enjoyed weekly lunches with her girlfriends. MaryAnn often reminded her family how much they were loved and how they meant the world to her and Jerry. Her family will cherish wonderful memories of vacations on the beach, Memorial Day weekends on Kentucky Lake and Sundays on the patio.
MaryAnn was a gentle, loving and proud wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by many who called her sister, aunt, neighbor and friend.
MaryAnn is survived by sister Lee Gilles; daughters, Carol (Roger) Titzer, Cathy (Wayne) Basham and son David (Jeannie) Evans; grandchildren, Eric Titzer, Alex Titzer, Jenny (Aaron) Cash, Mike (Brittney) Evans, Danny (Ali) Evans; great grandchildren, Sydney Cash, Taylor Cash, Peyton Cash, Amelia Burrough, Oaklyn Evans, Austyn Evans, Mason Evans and many loving nieces and nephews.
MaryAnn was greeted in heaven by her husband, Jerry, her mother and father, and sister, Ruth.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 South Hebron Ave., Evansville. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 S. Green River Road, Evansville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with Father Bernard Etienne officiating.
Burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Hamilton Pointe for their loving and compassionate care of MaryAnn.
