Matthew Salazar
July 30, 1998 - April 2, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Matthew Salazar, who left us too soon on April 2, 2025. He was a devoted father, a loving son, a caring brother, uncle and a friend to many.
Born on July 30, 1998, Matthew was the beloved son of Roble Salazar and Steve Salazar Sr. He was a cherished brother to Steve Salazar Jr. (Amy), Moises Salazar (Ashley), and Christopher Salazar. His greatest joy in life was being a father to his two beautiful daughters, Gabriella Guadalupe Salazar (5) and Penelope Rose Salazar (11 months), whom he shared with Victoria Villarreal. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who adored him.
Matthew was a hardworking man, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Whether it was fixing a car or pushing someone to do better, he kept it real with everyone-sometimes a little too real. His words of encouragement always came with a side of tough love and plenty of talking crap, but that's what made them stick. His realness, dedication, and strength of character earned him the love and respect of all who knew him.
Though his time with us was far too short, his memory will live in the hearts of his family and friends. His laughter, his loyalty, and the way he could both humble you and lift you up in the same sentence will never be forgotten.
Services to honor and celebrate Matthew's life will be announced by the family in the coming days.
Rest in peace, Matthew. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
