Michael Joseph Conway, a resident of Lansing, Michigan, passed away on August 31, 2025. He was 68.
Michael is survived by his wife Lauren, daughter Katherine Gates, son-in-law Nathaniel Gates, Mother Gloria Conway, brother Mark (Valerie) Conway, brother Thomas Conway, as well as nephew Charlie Conway and niece Hailey Conway. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Thomas E. Conway, and niece Jackie Conway.
Mike was born in Corinth, New York, and grew up in western Pennsylvania. He attended undergraduate college at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, then went on to earn a master's degree in library and information science from Western Michigan University. Mike's professional career was as a Technology Specialist in the fields of library services and education. He retired in 2018 and then went on to have the time of his life. He loved to read and travel, attend music and sporting events, and sharing good times with his family and many friends. He was a devoted citizen of the Steeler Nation. Mike was a selfless husband, father and son, who will be missed beyond measure.
A gathering will take place Tuesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 1:00 p.m., at St. Martha Catholic Parish, with Rev. Fr. Ryan Riley as celebrant. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 noon. Inurnment will follow the Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing.
