He was born on February 24, 1979, in Sayre, PA, the son of Matthew Geiss and Cynthia (Smith) Witman.
Michael was a Veteran of the US Army. He was an avid fan of Star Wars, and enjoyed computer and video games.
Michael is predeceased by his grandparents; Joseph and Doris Smith and Watson and Patricia Geiss.
Michael is survived by his son; Jayden Geiss, father; Matthew Geiss, mother; Cynthia Witman, sister; Tabitha Geiss, uncle; Jeffrey Geiss, aunt; Sheila Covey, former spouse; Tammy Geiss, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
Burial will be in Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, NY.

I came to pick you up and I couldn´t find you? Then I heard you but couldn´t find you. You yelled "up here" and I looked up there you were in a tree!! A very high tree. Your legs dangling talking to me like it was normal for you to be in this very high tree. I think about that a lot . Or when you almost passed out cause I threw a hush puppy away in the garbage and had to retrieve it!
