Michael E. Newton, 57, of Medway, died Saturday, November 9, 2024, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Beth K. (Porter) Newton for 33 years.
Born in Framingham on January 16, 1967, he was the son of David A. and Wilma J. (Knowles) Newton of Medway.
Michael was a lifelong resident of Medway and graduated from Medway High School in 1985.
He worked as a systems analyst at State Street Bank for just over 20 years.
Michael was a quiet man but loyal to the ones he cared about most! He loved spending time and vacationing with his family. There were a lot of vacations and day trips but some that really stood out were the trips to New Hampshire, Canobie Lake Park, Disney World, Las Vegas, Florida, and cruises to so many islands. He loved the quiet of his home with the continuous wildlife in his yard. He enjoyed watching TV, specifically car auctions, an occasional Red Sox game, and many of the Food Network shows. He was a car enthusiast, especially the older cars. In his earlier years, he spent time working on cars, rebuilding engines, and attending car shows.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his daughter Nicole Newton of Medway, who if given the time, would love to share all about her accomplishments with others. He was so proud of everything she accomplished. He is also survived by his brother Paul Newton and his wife Flavia of Mendon.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street in Medway on Friday, November 15 at 11 a.m.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 14 from 4 - 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory a the charity of one's choice.
