My dear Brother Mike, where do I start? From our memories of fellowship meetings of the South Gastonia district or our days at Ft. Sam Houston for modified basic training and AIT as medical lab technicians. God had us in his care and we both landed at Ft. Bragg. Over the years, we talked occasionally, but thanks to social media (Facebook) and cell phones, we renewed our close friendship. We started texting each other daily since we lived alone and frequently talked on the phone. Our texts usually ended with "We're one day nearer Home" or "His return is soon." Well, brother, our Heavenly Father said on Wednesday morning, "Michael your race is over and the battle is won." As the Bible says, "absent in the body, present with the Lord," You are now HOME. By the Grace of God, I will join you one day. "What a day that will be when our Savior we shall see." You have. Our loss is Heaven's gain.

Mike was always consistent no matter where you saw him, either at church or in town he always had a smile, kind word and GOD bless you! Guess my family knew Mike since I was young my dad grew up in KM so he knew Mike and I met Mike at East KMCOG! Always a great man to me and always a great conversation! Mike will be missed but Heaven needed another Angel for the choir! Prayers for the family and friends
