Michael Richard Weaver, known affectionately as Mike by those who knew him best, departed this earthly

realm onAugust 15, 2025, at the age of 66. Born under the hot Texan sun in San Antonio on the 27th of

August, 1958, he returned to the Lord's embrace in the very city that had given him life.

Mike, the beloved son of Kay and Ron Weaver, was the central thread in the vibrant tapestry of his family. He

was a cherished brother to Valerie Waddel of Gainsboro, TN, Susan Weaver, and Dennis Weaver with his wife

Isabel, all of San Antonio, TX. A proud father, he is survived by his daughter Kaylyn Rose Weaver Duran of

Silverdale, WA, and son Ryan Weaver of Texas. Though his marriages to Leslie and Stephanie ended in

divorce, they remained a significant part of his life's journey. His nieces and nephews in Tennessee will hold dear

the memories of their kind-hearted uncle.

A graduate of John Jay High School in the class of 1976, Mike's work ethic and dedication shone brightly

throughout his career. He began at Data Point Corp, where he skillfully dismantled computers, and then

transitioned to the Omni Hotel in Corpus Christi as an adept audio/visual specialist for conventions. His path led

him back to San Antonio, where he joined Op Tech Company, managing logistics at Alamo Downs with

prudence and care. His final vocational chapter was at the Lighthouse for the Blind, where he supervised the

assembly of items, guiding his team with compassion and wisdom.

Mike's Christian faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and endowing him with strength. He

was a member of the Central Christian Church in San Antonio. His faith provided solace and a well of hope,

even as he faced life's trials and the challenge of end-stage renal disease.

His passions were as vast as the Texas sky. Mike relished the freedom of the open road atop his motorcycle,

the tranquility of camping with his children at Garner State Park, and the camaraderie of fishing trips with his

father, Uncles BOB and Jim in Wyoming. A fervent supporter of the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas

Cowboys, he also found joy in the melodies of the 1980s and '90s music scene. His favorite song was "Dust In

the Wind"..

Though he dabbled in guitar playing, it was his collections that captured his heart the majestic eagles and the

myriad beer cans, each a memory, each a story.

As the poet Wordsworth eloquently stated, "That though the radiance which was once so bright be now forever

taken from my sight. Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower, we

will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind." In this spirit, we, his family and friends, will not

dwell in the shadow of his passing but will celebrate the enduring radiance of his life.
