Michael David Boufford, of St. Charles, Michigan, died on October 24, 2024 at home. He was 86 years old.
Michael was born on October 3, 1938 in Detroit, MI to the late Tom and Donna Boufford. He married Renee Boufford on December 15, 1962, in Detroit. Mike joined the Army in January 1956 and served 3 years mostly in Japan. Upon his discharge, he went to Ferris State University for 1 year, that is where he met his future wife, Renee. He then took a job as a salesman with ALOE Co. the largest surgical supply company in the country, where he spent a few years, while there, he married Renee. Then went to work for Randolph Surgical of Detroit for a few years, then he started his own company, Valley Surgical out of Saginaw, which he continued for 60 years.
Mike is survived by his children, James (Connie) Boufford, Michelle Blakeslee, Jacqui McDowell; grandchildren, Eric Boufford, Kyle Blakeslee, Elizabeth Blakeslee, Zoie McDowell, Maisy McDowell; sister, Sharon Boufford; brother, Tim (Diane) Boufford, MD, and Barry Boufford. He was preceded in death by his wife, Renee Boufford in 2023; parents; brothers, Denny and Pat; he leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 1:00pm with a funeral service at 3:00pm at McGeehan Funeral Home, St. Charles Chapel. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in St. Charles.
Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
