Mildred (Millie) Ullman, beloved wife of Edward Ullman, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2024, in Fairfield, CT, just shy of her 95th birthday. Millie was a beacon of love and strength, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that touched the lives of all who knew her.
Millie was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Rose Schindelheim, and her brothers, Eli and Arthur. She is survived by her son, Brian Ullman and daughter-in-law, Laura Ehrenkranz of Fairfield, Ct., her daughter, Caren Moore and son-in-law Brian Moore of South Burlington, Vermont;
grandchildren Raviv(Julia), Nadav(Adina), Ortal, Stephen(Mary)and Matthew; and great-grandchildren Ann and Leigh.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Millie pursued her passion for numbers, earning a degree in accounting from City College of New York. Her sharp mind and attention to detail served her well throughout her career as a dedicated accountant. Millie's love for her work was evident, as she found great satisfaction in her professional endeavors, retiring and returning repeatedly over the years, always eager to contribute her skills and expertise.
Millie's true joy in life, however, was her family. For 78 years, she shared an unwavering bond with the love of her life, her husband, Edward, traveling the world together and creating countless cherished memories.
Millie was the heart of her family, a devoted matriarch who showered her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren with boundless love and affection. She treated the spouses of her children and grandchildren as her own, welcoming them with open arms and making them feel cherished and valued.
A talented cook, Millie's kitchen was always filled with the delicious aromas of homemade meals that brought her family together. She was the cornerstone of celebrations from holidays with family to Super Bowl parties in Del Ray Beach. Her warmth and hospitality made each gathering unforgettable.
Millie will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, and love. As we bid farewell to our beloved Millie, we take solace in knowing that her memory will continue to inspire us to live each day with the same grace and compassion that she embodied.
A private funeral service will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 and Shiva will be held on Monday, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the home of Brian Ullman, on 72 Pine Ridge Rd. Fairfield, CT. Your expressions of sympathy in Millie Ullman's memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
