Ollie Frederick Salter, Jr, 58, of Batesburg, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024. Mr. Salter was born in Prosperity, SC, a son of Ollie Frederick Salter, Sr. and Myrtle Hallman Salter. He was a member of Worship Fellowship Church of God and loved the Lord. Being outside was Mr. Salter's favorite pastime, enjoying hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers and horses. Most importantly, he loved his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Salter is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Amber Salter Dean (Dustin), Cassie Salter Roof (Jonathan); grandchildren, Cooper and Briar Dean, Gracelynn Fowler and soon-to-be Rhett Roof. Also surviving are his siblings, Jason Randall Salter, Angela Salter Covin (Michael); nephews and niece, Cody, Cale, and Chet Salter, Joshua Register, Jessica Covin Harmon and Jon-Michael Covin; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, August 18th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Nazareth United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Lear and Rev. Joseph Hallman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 P.M. on Saturday, August 17th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be: Clint Hallman, Neal Risinger, and his nephews, Cody, Cale, Chet, Joshua and Jon-Michael.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Worship Fellowship Church of God, 410 Howard Street, Batesburg, SC 29006.
