Patricia Ann Greiner, nee Gibson, age 85, of Canal Winchester, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2025. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on September 17th, 1939, to Iva and Howard Harland Gibson. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and dear sister Nanette (John) Holt and nephew John-John Holt. She was also predeceased by former spouse, Dr. Larry E. Greiner. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Pat graduated from South High School in 1957 and became a certified paralegal through Capital Law School. She worked for several law firms in both Columbus and Chicago before retirement.
Pat was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, and friend; she was always there to offer support, wisdom and unconditional love. She was kind, fun-loving and generous. Pat hosted many gatherings over the years and stayed connected to three generations of family.
She is survived by daughter, Dr. Laura (Dr. Jerry) Horn of Chicago, IL, and their three children: Taylor (Josh) Clearfield, Sheridan (Briggs) Montgomery, and Colton Horn and Morgan Killoren. She is also survived by her son, Dr. Charles (Kristi) Greiner of Wheelersburg, OH, and their blended family: Chaney (Mark) Boodjeh, Laken Greiner, Eden (Luke) Rhea and Caleb (Kaitlin) Clark. Pat loved her great-grandchildren: Viviene, Lilah, Felix, Fitz, Charlie, Cole, Allison, Paxton, Kennedy, Paisley and Avery.
She is also survived by brothers Curt (Judy) Gibson of Boswell, PA, William (Dr. Sanda) Gibson of Thornville, OH, David Gibson (Rosie) of San Benito, TX, and sisters Kathi Gibson of Canal Winchester, OH, and Joyce Gibson of Columbus, OH, and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her partner, Thomas Woodyard of Canal Winchester, OH, and his sons Steve (Sharon) Woodyard of Naperville, IL, and Tommy Woodyard of Columbus, OH.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Gilda’s Club of Chicago, a cancer support group at gildasclub.com.
