Patricia G Heinsohn

Patricia Heinsohn, 72, of Kirkland, Ill., died Thursday, December 19, 2024, at her home. She was born July 23, 1952, in North Chicago, the daughter of Glenwood and Virginia (Smith) Blackburn.
Patricia graduated DeKalb High School in 1970 and from Northern Illinois University in 1974. She married Steve Heinsohn on November 24, 1979, at the First United Methodist Church in DeKalb.
She was a proud member of Kirkland United Methodist Church, Hiawatha FFA Alumni, Hiawatha School Board, Hiawatha FFA Greenhouse, Hiawatha School Vote Yes, Friends of the Library, and the Fine Arts Boosters.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Steve of Kirkland; their three sons, Jeff (Bona) Heinsohn of Kirkland, Gilman (Brooke) Heinsohn of Kirkland, and Johnathan (Joanna) Heinsohn of Kirkland; and six grandchildren, Maelee, Jack, Greyden, Finley, Navy, and Henry.
Patricia is also survived by her brother, Michael Blackburn of Pennsylvania; nephews, Shawn Blackburn, Derek Blackburn, and Adam Blackburn; brother-in-law, Gene (Kathy) Heinsohn of Arizona; nephews, Ben (Italie) Heinsohn, Scott Heinsohn, and Jesse Heinsohn; mother-in-law, Majorie Heinsohn; cousins, Marcia Andres, Michael Grzeskowiak, Patricia Grzeskowiak, and Joy Law; and second cousins, Jennifer Lewis, Karolyn Law, Julie Law, and Karen Freschauf. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Diana Blackburn.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kirkland United Methodist Church on January 4, 2025, starting at 10:30 a.m., with a memorial service at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at the Kirkland United Methodist Church, 300 W. South St., Kirkland, IL 60146.
