Patricia Ann Morgan

Patricia Ann Morgan, of Wellington, Kansas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the age of 83.
Pat was born the daughter of Harry and Izora Hunt on January 1, 1942 in Wellington, Kansas.
Pat was a pillar of her community, a woman of great heart and unyielding spirit, who devoted her life to serving others. She was a woman who believed in the power of love, knowledge, and compassion. Her vocation as a Program Director in Social Work was a testament to her unrelenting desire to make a difference. She was instrumental in launching the CASA program in Wellington, serving as its first director, and later she was recruited as the director for the newly started Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
Her dedication to education was unwavering, earning multiple degrees, including her Masters from WSU. Pat's commitment to service extended to her role as a secretary at the Wellington Methodist Church, where she was a beacon of hope and kindness. Amidst her tireless work, she found joy in the pleasures of life, relishing in the adventure of traveling the U.S. with her beloved husband, Rex, as often as they could.
Survivors include her husband, Rex Morgan of KS; son, Steven Summers of KS; grandchildren, Brittney Summers of MN; John Summers of KS; great grandchildren, Brooklyn Summers of MN; Isaiah Summers of MN; and step sister, Harriet (Lou) Pormon of OH.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Hunt and Izora Hunt, whose love and values shaped the remarkable woman she became.
Graveside services for Pat will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 10, 2025 at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Wellington, Kansas.
Memorial contributions can be given in Pat's memory to the Wellington Methodist Church, 202 W. Harvey Ave., Wellington, Kansas 67152. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
