Patrick Michael Dwyer

Patrick Michael Dwyer, known to many as "Pat," passed away on April 5, 2024, in Fountain Hills, AZ, at the age of 80. He was born on October 12, 1943, in New York, New York. Pat was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who dedicated his life to teaching high school biology. He had a deep passion for the sciences and was known for his kindness and love towards his family.
Pat's educational journey included graduating from Power Memorial High School, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wagner College, and obtaining a Master of Biology from Hunter College. He further pursued his passion for education by achieving a Master of Science in Education at Hunter College.
Throughout his career, Pat made a significant impact as an educator in the NYC school system. He taught at Bay Ridge High School, Curtis High School, and Port Richmond High School before relocating to Arizona in 1995. In Arizona, he continued his teaching career at the Salt River Reservation.
In his leisure time, Pat enjoyed baking, gardening and most of all, spending quality time with his family. He had a particular fondness for taking his loved ones on cruises and cherished his lifelong friendships with Paul and Lenore Goldstein, Susan and James Robb, Mikey and Dave Crawford, John Stanley, and Cathy Howard and Richard Mance, Marianne and David Crawford.
Pat is survived by his loving spouse, Frances Dwyer, his children AnneMarie Dwyer Kastner, Paul Dwyer, and Jennifer Dwyer Schmidt, along with their respective families. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Genevieve, Charlotte, Anna, Giselle, and Matthew, as well as his niece Michele Neal Celentano and grandniece Anna Henshaw.
His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
