Peggymae Muterspaugh, 84 of Anderson died early Sunday morning, July 28, 2024 at home with her husband of 40 years, Carl Thomas Muterspaugh by her side. She was born on May 22, 1940 in New Castle, IN and was the daughter of Earnest-Teen (Tina) Haskett and Leroy Haskett.
Peggymae was a woman that after meeting, you would not soon forget. If you knew her you knew she loved her husband, Carl. She was strong willed and it served her well in her life.
Peggymae worked at Marsh for several years. She soon became an entrepreneur owning several rentals over the years, and she and her husband started Muterspaugh Auto Sales and ran a successful car lot for over 20 years. She was a woman who loved to hustle. Peggymae and her husband Carl attended Redeemer Baptist Church, there is no doubt she loved The Lord. She had a knack for words and speaking wisdom and advice to people she would meet. She was never afraid to tell it like it was and help people how she could.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 40 years, Carl Muterspaugh; her sons, William Muterspaugh and Timothy Lemon (wife, Rebecca Lemon); daughter, Robin Philips (husband, John Mahaffey); Carla Lysher (Muterspaugh) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A special thank you to Shellie Taylor who helped care for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tina and Leroy; sons, Thomas and Ronnie Muterspaugh; brothers, Roy, Earl and Bobby Haskett; sister, Mary.
Peggymae's service will be held on August 9 at 3:00pm at Mechanicsburg Cemetery at 9250 US 36 Middletown, IN 47356 with her pastor, family and friends.
