Peter Proulx

Peter Proulx, age 80 years, of West Bend found peace on January 5, 2025 at his home.
Peter was born on February 5, 1944, to Marvin and Ella (nee Schacht) Proulx. Marvin passed away when Peter was six months old, and he was raised by Ella and his stepfather, Frank "Butch" Malek. He was united in marriage on June 14, 1975, in Wichita, Kansas to Patricia Rogers.
He graduated from Wauwatosa West High School, and then went on to work in maintenance until retirement. Peter loved to immerse himself in his outdoors passions; whether he was waiting for the perfect buck to walk by in his tree stand, or casting a line and hoping for a musky, Peter was in his element. He was a beloved member of the Hartford Rod and Gun Club, where he will be missed. He enjoyed the camaraderie and friendliness of the members, and getting together to watch the Packers, Brewers, or Badgers was always a great time. Above all, Peter was a treasured husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and will be hugely missed.
Those Peter leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of almost 50 years, Pat; his daughter, Anne Paikowski; granddaughter, Miranda (James) Proulx-Galetti; his brother, Mike (Sandy) Proulx; nieces and nephew, Lisa, Renee, and Chad; and special cousin, Jim (Fran). He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his beloved dogs, Harley and Gracie.
VISITATION: Peter's family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 10:00 a.m, until 11:00 a.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service (1315 W. Washington Street, West Bend, WI).
SERVICE: A Memorial Service in remembrance of Peter will follow the visitation at the funeral home, starting at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Mittermaier officiating.
