Randall S. Jones, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, in Kalamazoo, MI, at the age of 66. Born on December 7, 1958, in Lebanon, MO, Randy was a beacon of light and laughter in the lives of all who knew him. His enduring spirit and jovial nature will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 33 and a half years, Cynthia (Harvath) Jones, his sons William (Maria) Jones and Zachary (Shenira) Jones, and his adored grandchildren Addison, Eylah, and Freya.
Randy was a cherished member of a close-knit family, including his siblings Barbara (Charles) Randall, Ronald (Teresa) Jones, Deryl (Shirley) Jones, Vivian (Steve) Scott, and Cathie Dunigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shelvy and Vera (Clayton) Jones.
After receiving his bachelor's degree from Andrews University in 1984, Randy dedicated 37 years of his life to serving as a social worker for the state of Indiana. His compassion and commitment to helping others were evident in his professional life as well as in his personal endeavors.
A devout member of the Paw Paw Seventh Day Adventist Church, Randy served as a deacon, enriching the lives of many with his service and unwavering faith. His love for his family was unparalleled; he was the quintessential family man, known for his grandpa and dad jokes that brought smiles and eye rolls in equal measure.
Randy was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Bears with an enthusiasm that was contagious. His interests extended to reading, watching game shows, and enjoying family game nights, which were often filled with laughter and friendly competition. His playful nature was shown through in the pranks he played, often confusing friends and family with his striking resemblance to his brother.
Known for his thoughtfulness, Randy was the kind of person who remembered every birthday, making each family member and friend feel special with his timely birthday calls. His love for simple pleasures like popcorn and cheese pizza was well-known, and his caring and responsible nature made him a pillar in his community.
Randy's family will receive friends on Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton. His funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025 11:00 AM at the Paw Paw Seventh Day Adventist Church, Paw Paw. Pastor Sean Reed will officiate.
