Schneider, Randall (Randy) E., 73, of Prairie View, died December 29, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Randy was born August 17, 1951, in Highland Park, IL, to Roland and Irene (Franson) and graduated from Deerfield High School before working for over 40 years in the Water & Electric Department at the Village of Winnetka, a job he loved. Randy married the love of his life, Jan M. Culp on April 15, 1975. An electrician and son of a carpenter, there was little he wouldn't work on himself and there was nothing he enjoyed more than using those skills to help his friends and neighbors. First and foremost a loving father and husband, in his free time, when he wasn't coaching his son's youth sports, he was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jan, his parents and several well-loved pets. He is survived by his two sons, Ron (Nicole) and Scott (Aley); and grandchildren Roland, Renny and Libby. Also surviving are his three siblings, Lee (Shirlee), Karen and Teresa and many close friends and neighbors.
Funeral Mass for Randy will be held at 10:30 AM at St. Mary of Vernon Church, 236 Hwy 45, Indian Creek, IL 60061 with a visitation at the church one hour prior. Interment Willow Lawn Cemetery, Vernon Hills. In lieu of flowers, memorials made The Michael J Fox Foundation www.michaeljfox.org would be greatly appreciated.
