In Loving Memory of Raymond
Kaczorowski
A long life lived
It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Raymond S. Kaczorowski (late wife Barbara), beloved father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and neighbor who left us peacefully on February 1, 2025 at the age of 90 years old. His departure leaves a void that will never be filled, but his legacy of toughness, hard work, and willingness to help will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Raymond S. Kaczorowski was born on January 19, 1935 in Detroit to Stanley Kaczorowski and Bertha Kociela. He grew up with 9 siblings, Florence, Chester, Eugene, Rose, Joe (Sibyl), Sylvia (Al), Dorthy, Leona, and Gloria (Don), a polish family that instilled in him the values of hard work at an early age. He quit school to work a paper route at a very young age. He was a hard worker and very independent. He was known to have two jobs at once at many times. He worked a factory job as a painter at BASF for many years. He also had a job as a landscaper which is truly fitting since everyone knew he had the best lawn in the neighborhood and don't you dare step on it. Father to 9 children, Darlene (the late Tim), Linda (Dana), Raymond (Sue), Irene (Doug), Cindy (George), (late )John (Theresa), Phillip, Nicole (Larry), David (Kim). Grandfather to Elizabeth, Steven, Amy, Brian, Colleen, Laura, Natalie, Garrett, Cooper, Christina, Sarah, Jenny, Kevin, Matthew, Johnathon, Tiffiany, Sylvia, Phillip, Michael, Eric, Kelly, Shane, 40 Great Grandkids and 8 Great Great Grandkids. Raymond loved bowling, spending time with his great grandkids Lilly, Amelia, Aaliyah, Mateo and Nevaeh. He also enjoyed Tigers games with his niece Charlene (John) and often spent time with his niece Cathy (Kim). Raymond lived in the same house in Detroit for 52 years. He was well known in the neighborhood for cleaning the streets and all the surrounding businesses and keeping his property pristine. He loved to help neighbors when he could. He even received awards for his grass. He was blessed to enjoy a 90th birthday party with 35 loved ones a couple of weeks before he passed away; he felt so loved and celebrated.
Visitation Monday, February 10, 2025 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary 7:00 p.m. at the Dearborn Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 23701 Ford Road. (313) 278-5100.
