Richard "Richie" Endriss

Richard "aka Rich or Richie" Endriss, age 44, of St. Augustine, passed away unexpectedly on June 15, 2023 at his home in St. Augustine. Richard was born on October 25, 1978 in Bryn Mawr, PA to parents Wayne and Helen Endriss. He moved with his family to St. Augustine at the age of 6 and attended Hartley Elementary School, Murray Middle School and St. Augustine High School. Rich was the class clown and loved to make people laugh, but he was also very protective and would give the shirt off his back. He started working in restaurants at an early age. He attended the Professional Culinary Arts Program at the First Coast Technical College where he trained to become a Chef. He worked for several local restaurants and for most of his career he worked at Sunset Grill. Most recently he had been working at St. Augustine Fish & Oyster House. He really enjoyed his work, but more than anything he loved being with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed being the cool uncle to his two nephews, Nolan and Aiden.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Endriss. He is survived by his mother, Helen Endriss of St. Augustine, FL; sister, Samantha Simms of St. Augustine; nephews, Nolan Simms and Aiden Simms.
A celebration of Richie's life will be held at 4pm on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home with Rev. John Fletcher officiating. A reception will follow the service at St. Augustine Fish & Oyster House.
