Richard Joseph Seaton, 65, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville.
Richard was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on February 8, 1959 to the late Richard R. and Loretta (Young) Seaton. He graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School in 1978 where he excelled in football. Richard worked over 35 years as a union laborer and was a member of the Local 204. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Big Ten Athletics. In his free time, Richard enjoyed fishing on the Wabash River and working in his yard. He also liked feeding and watching the birds in his yard. Above all, Richard loved his family. He was a proud father and grandfather. Richard loved being with his grandchildren and attending all of their sporting events. He will be deeply missed.
Richard is survived by his son, Nicholas Seaton (Morgan); brothers, Samuel and Robert Seaton; grandchildren, Leonidus, Maximus, and Aleksander Seaton, all of Terre Haute, IN; several nieces and nephews; and grand-dog, Birdie.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, James Seaton.
No services will be held at Browning Funeral Home.
