Robert "Bobby" Dixon

Robert "Bobby" Steven Dixon, age 52, of Franklinville passed away December 16, 2024. He was born November 20, 1972 in Albany, Georgia the son of Aileen "Deanie" Brisson Cranford and the late William Allen Dixon Sr. He attended Southwestern Randolph High School in Asheboro, North Carolina. Bobby's journey truly began when he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Becky. Their love story was one for the ages, 36 years marked by shared dreams and unbreakable bonds. Building a foundation for their son and daughter and creating a warm, inviting home of love and laughter. Following school, he became employed with Klaussner Furniture then furthered his employment with Charter Furniture, where his skillful hands put the finishing touches on beautiful pieces that would grace many homes. Bobby enjoyed watching drag racing and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Their recent game day win brought him a smile during his last days. Family was the most important thing to Bobby, his three grandchildren, the light of his life. Whether four wheeling with his son and friends, grilling at the family cookout or just sitting around the dinner table, these were the highlights that brought him pride and joy. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to others, catch up with close friends or work under the hood of a car to bring a smile to someone in need. Bobby could make a friend out of a stranger and start a conversation with anyone along the road in life. He had a true innate talent for finding a common interest with anyone. Those who were lucky enough to have a friendship with Bobby will always remember his kind, compassionate and considerate nature. He will be deeply missed by all. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 33 years, Becky Presnell Dixon; son, Chris Dixon; daughter, Brittany Nicole Dixon; grandchildren, Brooklyn Dawn Dixon, Adrian Taylor Gonzalez and Julian Eden Gonzalez; mother, Deanie Cranford; brothers, Billy Dixon, Scottie Craford, and JD Cranford; sisters Tina Dixon and Stacey Dixon; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of beloved extended family and close friends. A celebration of life will be held 4 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Journey Church of Asheboro, 1801 S. Fayetteville Street, Asheboro NC 27205.
