Robert "Bob" Gallet

Although Bob's wishes were that his obituary simply said "Bob died," his family wishes to honor him with a slightly longer version as follows:

Robert Gallet, 85, of Crystal Lake, passed away on May 30, 2023 after battling Alzheimer's dementia. He was comforted and supported by his family in the weeks leading up to his passing.

Robert is survived by his wife of 13 years, Linda Gallet, his four children Sue (Dave) Forner, Scott (Juanita) Gallet, Michelle (Rich) Erikson, and Jen (Dave) Goodman, and two step sons Bob (Diana) Whitney and Rich (Cheryl) Whitney. He was blessed with many grandchildren, step grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 33 years and the mother of his children, Patricia Rakowski Gallet, as well as his parents and siblings.

Bob spent the majority of his career at GLS Fiberglass where he provided tremendous leadership in establishing a winning sales culture that carries on to this day. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and bowling, but most importantly, he cherished spending time with his family. He will be missed for his sense of humor, his generosity, and his unending support of those he loved.
