Robert S. "Scott" Hull, 78, of Gwinn, passed away at his home on June 26, 2024 surrounded by his family and under the care of U.P. Home Health and Hospice.
Scott was born on April 17, 1946 in Memphis, TN to Robert and Betty (Landers) Hull. He served in the United States Air Force and upon his honorable discharge received a master's degree from Florida International University in Miami, FL.
Scott was an English Teacher for Broward County Public Schools in Florida for many years and he also owned and operated his own construction company in Florida. He was dedicated to his faith and very proud of being an Episcopalian. Scott was a marathon runner for a number of years, enjoyed being in nature and going on walks. He loved woodworking, tinkering around, was an avid reader and enjoyed to write.
Scott is survived by his wife, Carol Carson Hull of Gwinn; children, Jennifer Hull of Miami, FL, Jason (Jackie) Hull of Tampa, FL and Emily Hull of Jacksonville, FL; step-children, Jennifer Seymour of Gwinn, and Brian (Christy) Seymour of Gillette, WY; grandchildren, Kristanya, Jacob, Alexandra, Jade, Harley and Tylar; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Roberta of Orlando, FL, Ken Hull of Miami and Linda Hull of Orlando; as well as several nieces and nephews. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty Hull.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Gwinn with Rev. Gwen Hetler officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Scott's memory to Gwinn PawPacks for the Gwinn-Sawyer Public Schools.
