Robert B. Lowden passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2024, with his loving family by his bedside. Born in Burlington, Robert moved to Bordentown with his family in 2000.
At an early age, Bob loved music, especially the piano. He received his Undergraduate Degree from The New England Conservatory of Music, his Graduate Degree from Trenton State College, and his PhD from Combs College. Bob was a music teacher at Moorestown Friends School, where he taught privately and enjoyed playing in numerous piano bars. Later in life, Bob became a Long Term Care Director for many retirement communities, retiring in 2012 after over 20 years of dedicated service. He was the Choir Director for Covenant Presbyterian Church in Cinnaminson and First Presbyterian Church in Bordentown.
Bob was an avid Phillies fan who always enjoyed a good cigar while drinking a bloody mary. However, his greatest joy in life was being surrounded by his family, close friends, and dogs.
Son of the late Louis and Betty Lowden, he is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Lowden; his loving children, Christine and (Brian) Walters, Joshua and (Gina) Lowden, and Adam Lowden; his adorable grandchildren, Brooke, Gianna, Mia, Jacoby, and Makenna, and his dog Lucy.
Donations may be made in memory of Robert to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2618 New Albany Rd, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077, or First Presbyterian Church, 420 Farnsworth Ave, Bordentown, NJ 08505.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 19, 2024, at 10:30 am at First Presbyterian Church, 420 Farnsworth Ave, Bordentown, NJ 08505. Calling hours will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 ~ 8:00 pm and again Friday Morning from 9:00 ~ 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
