Robert "Bobby" S. Snauffer, 68, of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord on September 30, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 14, 1954 to the late Robert and Ann (Moore) Snauffer in Canton, Ohio. He was a 1972 graduate of Washington Massillon High School. He married Shirley M. Schmidt on July 31, 1996 and they shared 26 years together.
Bobby retired as a Steel Worker for Timken and had worked in construction for 25 1/2 years. Some of his great passions were fishing, Corvettes, the Massillon Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He was a member of Anchor Baptist Church, where he served on the Bereavement Committee and the Cleaning Crew. Bobby was also a member of the United Steel Workers of America - Local 1123 and Laborers Union 1015.
Bobby is survived by his loving Wife, Shirley; his children Robert "B.J." (Jennifer) Snauffer Jr., Timothy R. Snauffer and Kimberly A. Snauffer, Jennifer (Douglas) L. Simon, Angela M. Braucher, Leonard (Linda) J. Schmidt Jr.; his sisters Cynthia A. Cove and Tammy J. (Stephen) Fichter; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; his step-mother Jean "Dorothy" Snauffer; his faithful feline companion and "Favorite Daughter" Precious, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother Mary E. "Nana" Moore; and his brother Jeffrey M. Snauffer.
The family will receive friends at the Anchor Baptist Church- 2700 Richville Drive S.E., Massillon 44646 on Thursday, October 06, 2022, from 5-6 p.m. The Memorial Service will begin at 6p.m. with Pastor Shane Rice officiating.
