Roberta was born on May 9, 1939 in Plymouth, IN to Robert James and Mildred M. (Schutz) Gilbert. She graduated from Plymouth High School. She worked for United Tech of Plymouth, IN for several years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Plymouth. While residing at Garden Court she enjoyed bingo, the Breakfast Club, studying the Bible, and word searches.
Roberta will be missed by her daughters: Cathy Bishop of West Virginia; Angelia Masterson of Oklahoma; Susan (Jimmy) Marcum of West Virginia; her sons: Donnie Isom of Rochester, IN; Robert (Kizzy) Isom of Plymouth, IN; her sisters: Joan Humes of Knox, IN; Nancy Allen of Plymouth, IN; Donna (Raymond) Cox of Bremen, IN; her 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Roberta was preceded in death by her children: Debbie Conklin; and Michael Joe Isom; her grandchildren: Amber McMillen; Marty Masterson; and Josh Isom; her parents, Robert and Mildred Gilbert; and her brothers: James Gilbert; and Kenny Gilbert.
Aquamation has been chosen, and upon our mother's wishes, there will be no public memorial service. She would like her friends and family to remember her as "Bert".
