Roger Steiner Obituary
Roger Alan Steiner, 84, of Sun City AZ, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Banner Hospital in Sun City, Arizona.
Roger was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on April 25, 1940, to Clarence and Olive (Goodman) Steiner. He married Arline Kwiecinski in Illinois, living in Sturtevant WI early on and eventually moving to Webster, WI. He served the State of Wisconsin as a State Trooper for 18 years. In his spare time, he operated Clam River Cartridge Company which supplied ammunition to the local police departments. After retiring from the state patrol, he began working at Horton MFG in Production Control for 18 years. He would go on to earn his pilot's license and own a Cessna airplane. He was active in Boy Scouts, Fire Warden, 28-year member of the Masons, educated children on hunter, boater, and snowmobile safety. After his wife Arline passed away, Roger had the opportunity to fulfill his dream of living on an island in the pacific when he met Dr. Carol Roggow, and they married, residing in Hawaii. They traveled the world seeing various countries and taking in the heritages it had to offer. Roger and Carol later moved to Sun City, AZ to take care of one of his cousins until their untimely passing. While in Sun City he joined the local Sun City Posse and was president of the HOA.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Olive, wife Arline, brother Warren, and second wife Carol. He is survived by his special friend Norma Jean Miller, by his children Allen (Julia) Steiner and Natalie (Mike) Sanders; his grandchildren Sheli (Chase) Fornengo, Dustin Sanders, Shannon (Ryan) Lind and Nicole (Dan) Gray; his great grandchildren, Paige, Kendall, Hayden, Thomas, Evelyn, and Harrison.
Services to be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Fountain of Life Lutheran Church, 15630 N Del Webb Blvd Sun City, AZ, with a light luncheon to follow.
