Jefferson City, Missouri. He was born on August 5, 1947 in
St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Robert E. and June A. Schollmeyer. On April 21, 1994, he was united in marriage to Elaine Schreiber Woodman, she survives at their home.
Ron, as he is known to his many friends, was a graduate of Jefferson City High School in the class of 1965. He then went on to attend Oklahoma State University and Lincoln University majoring in Business Administration and Economics. A fantastic businessman, Ron owned the Schollmeyer Insurance Agency in Arizona before serving his beloved state of Missouri for 15 years in the Missouri Department of Revenue. He was well known by his loved ones as a devoted member of the community, having attended the Central United Church of Christ as well as contributing to The Lions Club, the Chamber of Commerce, and to the Rotary Club in Phoenix, Arizona where he was active in the political community.
Ron loved to play golf, he was an avid fisherman, a devoted father, a great friend and loved spending time with his wife, Elaine and his children, Stacy and Robert. His second passion was cooking and Ron was at his best when he had the house full of friends and loved ones and he was laughing, cooking and entertaining. He was a lover of life and energized the room. He was a superb dancer and enjoyed music and watching his Chiefs and Tigers fight it out on the field. Ron was always willing to share his experiences and offer advice to friends and family and has impacted many lives as a result. He will forever be missed.
