On October 6, 2025, the trumpets sounded and the gates opened, and "Right on Roy", was welcomed into the arms of his living savior, Jesus Christ.
He was born on August 21, 1947 to the late Willie and Annie (Parker) Willams, Sr in Drew, MS.
A 1967 graduate of Washington High School, he was a decorated veteran of The United States Army and then served in the Ohio National Guard. He retired from Ashland Oil, Canton Refinery. Roy was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was a past president of the Perry Booster Club and Perry Youth Football and Richville Baseball.
Roy is survived by his loving wife, whom he married on April 6, 1970, Viola (Turley) Williams; children, Eric Williams, Montiell Williams, Jade (David) Macias, and Tara Turley; two grandchildren; siblings, Alfred (Gloria) Williams, Willie (Mae) Williams, Jr., Louis Williams, Robert (Stacy) Williams, Mytice, Evelyn, and Bobber Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and the many strangers he could have had a word with and laugh with.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Milton Williams.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, 12:00 pm at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio, with Pastor Michael T. Lemon, officiating.Burial will follow in Massillon Cemetery.
