William Lee Ries, 91, of Massillon, passed away on October 6, 2025 at Rose Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation.
He was born on August 16, 1934 in Massillon, OH.
A graduate of Washington High School, William was a veteran of the United States Navy, and retired from Eaton Corp. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, St. Joseph. A private pilot, William loved flying, and was a member of The Confederate AirForce, and the MAPS Air Museum. He also enjoyed collecting, buying, and selling firearms.
William is survived by his loving children, Bill Ries and Mary (Ken) Carraher; and granddaughter, Angela Ries.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. Ries; father, Russell Ries; mother, Kathrin (Charles) Dubois; and brother, James Ries.
A private graveside service will take place in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
