Salvatore J. Gattuso, devoted husband and loving father of Chalfont PA, passed away on January 20, 2025, after battling an illness.
Sal as he was so affectionately known was born on July 5, 1941 to the late Ignazio and Elizabeth Gattuso (Baudo) in Brooklyn, New York. Sal was a high school graduate from Martin Van Buren High School. At the age of 21, he entered the United States military and upon being honorably discharged, he married Veronica Gattuso (Franco) on September 12, 1964.
Sal spent most of his life in textile sales and was the co-owner of two successful businesses. Sal was a member of the Old Fart Fishing Club, creator of Sal's poker and loved to talk politics.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Veronica of 60 years; three sons Richard Gattuso and wife Maryellen of Frisco TX, Adam Gattuso and wife Jennifer of Harleysville PA, and Jason Gattuso of Chalfont PA. As well as his sister Stephanie, brother John, cousin Danny, cousin Bobby, six grandchildren and many other friends and relatives. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to visit the family on Saturday, February 22nd from 11am-12pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Pike, New Britain, PA. A celebration of life service will follow, and interment will be left private to the family.
